Duluth, MN Day!!

Well the Misses and I, oh yeah and Aazhide, made a day trip to Duluth yesterday. It was a pretty good day. We went shopping over at Miller Hill Mall for about an hour. I bought myself a pair of jeans and a pair of real cool shorts (not underwear). Once we were finished with that we went to Canal Park and enjoyed a satisfying dinner at Famous Dave's. MMMM....damn them wings, chicken, corn on the cob, and fries are the bomb. It only cost me 10 bucks for my plate and man was it worth it. My plate was so full of food I was in heaven. It took me a good 15 minutes to devour everything. By the time I was done my mouth, fingers, and even my wedding ring were all soaked with BBQ. I love Famous Daves....they need to build one up here in Bemidji also.
After we had dinner we took a walk along the lake shore. That was real cool. Aazhide was getting a little bored I think. She was to preoccupied about making it to the fair or going to the fair they had near by. My wifey and I had a good time. We took some pictures. This one nice lady offered her daughter to take a picture of the three of us, she said to us " my daughter can take a picture of your FAMILY." Jamie and I just looked at each other and smiled. That was funny.
I think we finally made it home at about 11:30 lastnight. We stopped over at Cass Lake for about half an hour to check out the Pow Wow. It was boring. The wife and I came right home after that and enjoyed the rest of the night with each other. So yeah..thats what happend bijiaago.

The Happenings.

Well its been awhile since my last blog. Hmmmm....my sister Briana graduated from High School, that was a pretty big thing in the family. I made the trip up on Wednesday June 20 while skipping out on work the following day. Her grad was on Thursday, the following day. It was a pretty nice ceremony. I was so proud to see her up there all grown up and looking pretty. It brought a lump in my throat to see her so happy, all decked out in her grad gown, looking all nice and pretty; I didn't cry though. My wifey couldn't make the trip. She had to go do her Ojibwe Immersion camp (sounds sick..lol) . It would of been awesome to have her up that way, but I understood her situation as did the rest of my family back home. We still love her. So yeah her grad was pretty cool. What was even way cooler is that my sis, being the smart, grown up lady she is, insisted on going to a safe grad instead in Kenora; no parties, no drinking, no drugs, nothing. Just a good ole evening with her friends. We were so proud of her decision.
It gave us more time to play poker though. Holy smokes thats all we did while I was up there was play poker every night. I won first on Wednesday night, didn't do to well on Thursday, but I came in second on Friday night. I made about 100 bucks altogether. That was fun. I went out in the lake with a few friends of mine for awhile on Friday too. I didn't catch anything. I was too busy enjoying the beauty of the lake and being one with nature, that was real cool. In the late afternoon-early evening of that Friday we went golfing over at White Moose. Tashina, Terence, my mom, Byron and me. I didn't do to well. I made some awesome shots but this one hole fucked up my score card terribly. I think I shot a ten on a par 4 course. Oh well....at least they all know I can play golf as well as poker. LOL. One other thing..... a whole bunch of folks wanted my pokerstars.com hooded, zippered sweater off me. But I was like "NAH.....go earn your own." LOL. So yeah that was pretty alright being up there. It was good to spend some quality time with my family: Mom, dad, Tashina, Briana, Aryis, Terence, Gavin, Forrest, Donna, and Byron (i guess...lol)

Hmm....work has been going pretty slow lately over at the Indian Ed. Summer Program. I don't know why but sometimes I feel like I am getting sick of this job every summer. Its not the same as it was before I guess. But still....a part of me likes the job. It looks good on the resume and the kids are adorable. I think it might be the repetitiveness of the job that is getting to me. I think we need more field trips to different places. Anyways...I still like the job and am grateful for still having the job.
My wife didn't work the first week of the job. She was off doing Ojibwe out in the woods (sounds sick again..lol) But she is back; she started this past Monday. All the kids kept asking about her all last week. I think they missed her over the year than they did me. Geez. LOL.

Married life is way cooler too. Every day when I'm with my hunny and we do stuff together I glance at her and stare at her for maybe 15 seconds straight. Its so adoring to see her do her thing without her noticing I'm looking at her. Like the other day she was vacuuming the floor and I kept looking at her. She was all focused and stuff, like she really wanted the house to be clean, no small pieces of dirt had a chance that day. Just to see my hunny doing her thing made me smile. I'm so proud of everything she does. She works very hard. I gave her a big bear hug while she was still cleaning. That was very cool. I'm so happy she is my wife. But yeah man married life is awesome, the love is strong and the connection unbreakable. Plus she lets me play poker too....heheh. I just love her to death.

So yeah thats all I have to write for now. I'll blog again probably next year. Hahaha......just kidding, hopefully soon.

bye bye
