First Place.

We finally took first for the first time in a couple years. Yes boys and girls Northern Wind has done it again...FINALLY. During the week we were jamming over at Red Lakes annual Pow Wow. We didn't have that much tough competition except for maybe Bad River and Black Bear Creek. Both groups were sounding really good. I figured we were at least going to place in the top three. I was a bit nervous though; I had a bad feeling we would get third place. But after they announced Black Bear Creek for third and Bad River for second I knew right then and there that we pulled it off. I was so excited as was the other singers. It was a big sigh of relief for all of us I'm sure. But yeah the point differential between the three places was only three points. That was pretty scary, but heck we won and thats all that matters. It feels really good to win again. Our next Pow Wow is way out east over in Val D'or Quebec, Canada. I doubt I can make this trip. I have to work at that time. I would go if I had a car that can travel the speed of light. But...work commitments prevent me from going. I will be able to make it to Rat Portage and Cour d'Lene Idaho though. I cant wait for these trips. Its gonna be fun.

So yeah thats what happened. Pretty exciting. Tomorrow the Misses and I are heading up to Lake Vermilion. Her grandparents are celebrating their 123rd wedding anniversary. It should be a lot of fun. I get to hang out with some family. Should be a blast. I hope to also be able to use Carolynj's internet while up there....LOL. Its not really a big deal but there is this Last Chance Tournament on ESPN poker club on Saturday night. There are 27 seats available to be won that will get you into Sundays Final Tournament. Win Sunday's tournament and you win an all expenses paid trip to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut to tour ESPN studios near by and to play in a $2000 poker tournament. The entry fee of 2K will be paid for. All you would need to do is show up.
